OPA Echuca is a vibrant and lively Greek restaurant offering a fun and authentic dining experience in the heart of Echuca. With a focus on fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Cook & Chefs to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Greek dishes according to our menu and recipes

  • Ensure all dishes are served on time, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation

  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations

  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety standards

  • Assist in the ordering and stock management of ingredients and supplies

  • Support the Head Chef in kitchen organisation and stock management.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen, ideally with experience in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine (but not essential).

  • Minimum 3 years expirerencs as a chef.

  • Certificate 3 & 4 in cookery.

  • A passion for food and cooking, with a creative flair

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with food presentation and quality

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene

  • A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the role
