OPA Echuca is a vibrant and lively Greek restaurant offering a fun and authentic dining experience in the heart of Echuca. With a focus on fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Cook & Chefs to join our dedicated kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality Greek dishes according to our menu and recipes
Ensure all dishes are served on time, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in line with food safety standards
Assist in the ordering and stock management of ingredients and supplies
Support the Head Chef in kitchen organisation and stock management.
About You:
Proven experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen, ideally with experience in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine (but not essential).
Minimum 3 years expirerencs as a chef.
Certificate 3 & 4 in cookery.
A passion for food and cooking, with a creative flair
Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment
Strong attention to detail, particularly with food presentation and quality
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene
A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow within the role
